Sparkle Valley - Book 1

Sparkle Valley begins with Abigail. She’s Emily's doll, and whether Emily realizes it or not, her last line of defense against a world that exists only so long as she actually cares about it.

 

Emily is playing in the garden behind her house when a storm rolls in. Emily rushes inside with all her toys, but she gets distracted by her phone and leaves one toy behind—Ivana.

  

The next morning they search for her, but she's gone, seemingly swept away by the rising current of a stream running through the garden. 

 

Abigail sets out to find her, but when a sudden accident sends Abigail into the same rushing waters, she ends up in a strange world far beyond the safety of the garden. 

 

Sparkle Valley is beautiful, fragile, and it seems to be fading.

  

Abigail searches for Ivana, navigating a maze of caves and creatures, all connected to Emily’s half remembered fears and memories. And with every step she takes, it dawns on her what is actually going on. Emily’s imaginaton is fading and if she lets go completely of this world, Sparkle Valley is gone. 

 

In the end, Abigail understands that simply saving Ivana may not be enough. Something much deeper has happened to Sparkle Valley, and to the girl who brought it to life.
